ROYALTY STRUCTURES: Regarding the two royalty
structures listed below, authors are free to choose one or both models. Below, we list examples of the royalaties
authors can expect from their booksales for both marketing models. We advise that authors market their books using both
models: The Print-on-Demand model allows us to market your book world-wide via Ingram's powerful network.
With the Publisher-to-Author model, you can market books yourself . . . and maximize your profits per book. With

ROYALTY Structure for Print-on-Demand
books: Print on Demand books are marketed via the Ingram network to booksellers
worldwide. There is NO WORK required of the author. We take care of all advertising, marketing and
distribution. In this marketing model, the royalty you receive per book is determined by the established
retail price of your book, minus the wholesale discount and printing charge. The standard industry-wide wholesale
discount is 55%. We provide a few examples of author royalties below: - A 200 page 9 x 6 inch, black and white, softcover book that lists for $9.95.
The industry standard wholesale discount for this book is: $5.48. The printing cost for this book is currently
$4.00. (9.95 - 5.48 - 4.00 = 0.47). The author royalty per book is $0.47. - A 300 page black and white, hardcover novel that lists for $27.95. Wholesale
discount is $15.38. The printing cost is $10.40. ($27.95 - 15.38 - 10.40 = 2.17) The author
royalty per book is: $2.17. - A 300 page color, 8 1/2 x 11 inch hardcover
textbook that lists for $123.00. Wholesale discount is $67.65. The printing cost is $36.50.
($123.00 - 67.65 - 36.50 = 18.85). The Author Royalty is $18.85 per book.
